| Apibūdinimas: | Notes: #1: oDesk is assisting a major tech company build a team of master PHP developers; the initial interview process will be with oDesk. Then we will pass the best candidates to the company. #2: This is a project which will require two full time engineers working in-person in the Manila office for at least the next 6 months. After a contract period, if the contractors are interested in full-time positions, the company is offering to make competitive full-time offers #3. Monthly compensation could be between P175k to P250k /month ($25 to $35/hour) depending on experience and hourly commitment. ====== We are searching for two senior engineer who will own our Magento and Wordpress extensions. We currently have highly rated, open source extensions for two platforms. On the Wordpress side of things you’ll have a portfolio of Wordpress implementations and be able to identify what makes a great Wordpress extension. What you get to do every day: From a Magento perspective, you'll know the ins-and-outs of the platform You'll know what changed between 1.7 & 1.8, how Enterprise is different to Community, how to debug authentication problems, plus be excited about the upcoming 2.0 release You’ll be the kind of engineer that can quickly pick up a new product and can read up on an API documentation and provide us with recommendations and opinions very quickly. You operate by using your passion about new products, new tools you constantly want to stay on the edge of technology and try new things You’ll have the hacker mindset. Working out of our Manila office, based in Fort Bonifacio Global City, you’ll be surrounded with an established support and sales team. In addition, you’ll also be working closely with our global engineering team. Our engineers enjoy working with other smart people who care about the product and the code. We emphasize pragmatism over dogmatism and our team uses best practices at every stage of the development cycle: test-driven development, peer code review, and rapid deployment What you bring to the role: - 5+ years working with PHP - Magento Community and Enterprise experience - Built or contributed to Wordpress extensions - Proven experience in front end development using JS, CSS, HTML - Built and understand what makes a good API - Solid understanding of Git & Git workflows - Excellent communication skills, fluency in English is a must - Have a keen eye for detail and work to high standards - Agile Scrum development knowledge - Ability to work independently and in a team with previous remote working experience is a plus Desired: - Contributed to open source projects - Built or worked on ETL project - Basic Ruby knowledge - AWS hosting experience To Apply: 1.
