Modify Wordpress Multisite - Enable User sign up with same email address to multiple sub-sites

| Apibūdinimas: | We are looking for a solution that, at it’s core, allows a user to sign up as a subscriber for multiple sub-sites on the same network. When you expand the scope of this to allow for fully functional sub-sites that work independently of one another for a specific user, you encounter a number of other changes to the system that are necessary. The list below of known functionality that a user should encounter and the solution should allow is not exhaustive and is meant to illustrate the type of functionality that we are considering. Any additional functions that the developer knows about or can think of that would need to change should be brought up prior to the project start: 1. Sign-Up Page – Should be accessible for each sub-site and each user should be able to log into the sub-site without accessing the main marketing site web page or running into another sub-site. 2. Registration – The user should be able to register for multiple sub-sites on the same network 3. Login Page – should be accessible for each sub-site and each user should be able to log into the sub-site without accessing the main marketing site web page or running into another sub-site. 4. Reset Password – The user should be able to reset their password for each account they have in the system. If the user has multiple accounts associated with different sub-sites, the system should only reset the password for the sub-site they are logged into and requesting a reset password request for. 5. Change Email Address – The user should be able to reset their password for each account they have in the system. If the user has multiple accounts associated with different sub-sites, the system should only change the email address for the sub-site they are logged into and requesting a reset password request for. 6. Logout Page – should be accessible for each sub-site and each user should be presented with a log out screen from the sub-site they were logged into (with proper theming) without accessing the main marketing site web page or running into another sub-site. Current Known Options: Option 1 - Completely Separate Sub-Sites This option details the known changes for each sub-site to work completely independent of another sub-site for all functionality. A user signing up and using a single sub-site would not know that they are signing up for a site that is a member of a wordpress multi-site network and should operate for all intents and purposes of the user as an individual website. This means that each user should have one account with each sub-site, regardless of whether they sign up with the same email address or not. All functionality for the user should be un-affected by the fact that they have more than one account for the same email address Option 2 - Separate Sub-Sites but One Network This option details the known changes to allow all of the functions that a user of any particular site would want to utilize, but in order to simplify the changes to the system, will only allow each user to have only one account on the network for a particular email and still be able to sign up as a member of as many sub-sites as they want. In this case, when a user performs actions such as resetting the password or changing the email, this will affect all sites that the user is signed up for and would need to be reminded of all the sites that this action affects. Therefore, it’s necessary for the user to be made aware that they are a member of a site on a network and that all sites they are a member of are affected. Option 3 – Membership system for Users is outside of Wordpress (needs more research) This option is the least known and would require much more detail before a project would proceed but there are membership plugins that reside outside of Wordpress (such as AMember) and that also integrate with the wordpress user system that may allow for each sub-site to function completely separate from one another and have different accounts for each sub-site similar to Option 1. The membership system that is outside of Wordpress would ONLY be used for Users of the Sub-Site. Super-Admins of the entire Wordpress Network, as well as our clients (Site Administrators) will still reside within the Wordpress Framework and use the Wordpress User and Role system. A Detailed Document with more details around the problem and each option will be provided only for qualified individuals.
