• Sapient is looking for a high-energy and dynamic Sales Development Representative to be one of the first touch points for prospects and set the tone for starting the sales cycle.

• The right candidate will be someone who works well under pressure, thinks outside-the-box, easily initiates relaxed but informative two-way engagement with prospects, and is highly self-motivated.

• Core to this position is the ability to create qualified lists and subsequently contact the right people, at the right time, with the right message - ultimately giving our sales team more qualified opportunities to win business.

• This position requires consultative selling skills to assess a prospect’s needs and cater an outreach plan to qualify them and schedule meetings.


• Understand and efficiently use Sapient’s sales stack that includes SalesForce Lightning (CRM), D&B/Hoovers (business/contact intelligence), Outreach (email outbound sequencing), LinkedIn, Sales Navigator (business/contact intelligence), Truly (phone), Intercom (chatbot) among other tools.

• Create target prospects lists and penetrate key accounts by developing account intelligence, and relationship maps by leveraging our network to develop “referral/warm” leads.

• Research target companies and contacts and prepare executive summaries for the team to prep ahead of engagements.

• Initiate and hold intelligent and engaging conversations over the phone, email, and social media to identify qualified opportunities.

• Set appointments and demos for AEs when a lead reaches a qualified stage.

• Present and demo the product suite and act as the subject matter expert regarding the Sapient product offerings.

• Nurture new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with an AE.

• Effectively collaborate across internal teams – marketing, technology, operations, and sales.

• Drive attendance for webinars and live seminars as well as schedule meetings for conferences.

• Ensure ALL up-to-date sales information resides in our sales stack by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information.

• Throughout all processes, need to manage expectations and overcome client objections.

• Reach and exceed key performance indicators including calls scheduled, calls completed, qualified opportunities and deals won from your meetings.


• Characteristics must include: drive, inquisitiveness, grit, team orientation and high integrity -  all with  a strong desire to compete and win.

• Prior experience with the sales tools listed above.

• Strong prospecting skills and ability to develop business in new and existing accounts.

• Understand how to gather account data including pain points, requirements and potential business opportunity.

• Strong and professional communication skills -- written, verbal, presentation, and a great listener.

• Fearlessness - willing to hop on the phone with new people every single day and explain our value proposition.

• Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving goals.

• Promote a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables.

• Resilient-doesn’t take “no” for an answer (in a very consultative manner).

• Acts without being told what to do, brings new ideas to the company, and has the courage to challenge the status quo (if you see something broken, then fix it).

• BA/BS degree or relevant experience

• 1 to 3 years of successful experience in sales, telemarketing, and very skilled with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Hourly Range: $20.00-$30.00
